Born and raised in Montreal, my conviction that the best stories come from experience led me down an eclectic creative path. After completing my undergraduate degree in film editing from Université du Québec à Montréal, I worked on film sets as a Script Supervisor while freelancing as a Yoga teacher and Wedding photographer. I worked in France, and studied in Greece before making my way back to the art of storytelling as a film director. While pursuing my MFA in film directing at the UCLA school of Theatre Film and Television, I authored four short fiction films, three short documentaries, a 360° documentary, and my very first feature film, currently on its tail-end of post. I recently wrapped production on my final student projects: a fashion film showcasing designer Shawn Hu’s collection, featured in Vogue, as well as a commercial for Reina Rebelde, an indie, latina-led makeup company. My recent work-for-hire includes development on an indie feature dramedy set to shoot in 2023, directing a documentary about legendary classical guitar player Eliot Fisk, and a climate change documentary financed by UCLA’s Climate Solutions center.
I strive to give representation to outcasts and underdogs. My upbringing in a neurodiverse family, with Serbian and French-Canadian parents informs my progressive outlook on cultural diversity and inclusion. I'm a two-time recipient of the Mary Pickford award and my short documentary, Adam, was awarded best directing and best documentary in various festivals. My most recent short, D for Daughter, won best supporting actress at the 2021 Culver City Film Festival and screened in Denver’s CinemaQ in August 2022. Two of my documentaries have been featured at the Hammer museum, and my feature has so far been supported by four separate grants.
I'm currently directing a short commercial spot for the Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program, set to screen in theaters across the US and Canada. I'm also producing, part-time, a short documentary directed by an award-winning UCLA professor, about pier fishing in Los Angeles.
